An awareness program on child protection was organized for grade 9 students at the Bandaranaike Maha Vidyalaya auditorium in Hettimulla today (31).

This program can be introduced as another awareness program held in conjunction with the Student Ambassador Program implemented by the National Child Protection Authority to cover the entire island.

Accordingly, the students were educated on the themes of child protection and care, child counseling, personality development and life skills.

District Psychosocial Officer Chathurik Bandara, District Child Protection Officer Vinodani Kulathunga and District Psychological Counseling Officer M.B.M. Iqbal joined the program with their resources.
