A capacity development program for government officials providing services to women and children who are victims of gender-based violence was held 28th of March at the Red Cross Club, Kalugalle Mawatha, Kegalle.
This program, jointly organized by the Kandy Women's Development Center, UNFPA, and the Ministry of Women and Children's Affairs, was coordinated by the Women's Development Officer of the District Secretariat, Ms. Manori Dehimaduwa.
Resource contribution for this was provided by Ms. Radhika Gunaratne, Attorney-at-Law.
Assistant District Secretary, Ms. Malsha L. Priyadarshani, and a group of officials from the Health, Social Services, Women's, Counseling, Probation Officers, Legal Aid Commission officials, and police officers from the Seethawaka Division participated in this event.
