A major problem that has arisen in the current society is the lack of financial management. Taking this problem as a basis, a "Financial Literacy Training Program for the Migrant Community" was held on 3rd May at the Kegalle District Secretariat Conference Hall.

At the event, Mr. Lanka Sumanadasa, the Training Officer, gave a detailed explanation on issues such as entrepreneurship opportunities, financial literacy and its practices, financial management and handling financial situations.
The financial literacy data of Sri Lanka was presented and its benefits were explained and relevant instructions were given to prevent people from becoming debtors by instilling financial independence in them. Methods by which people can earn money outside their daily fixed income were also introduced.
The program was organized by the Kegalle District Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism.
A group of expatriates from the Kegalle District participated in the event.
