Mr. Gamlathge Dilip Nishantha, who was an officer with extensive experience in the administrative service, took over as the Kegalle Additional District Secretary (Lands and Development) this morning (08).

He graduated from Sri Jayawardenepura University with a special degree in Commerce, he also obtained a post-graduate degree in Sociology from Kelaniya University and worked as the Additional District Secretary of Puttalam until he assumed his new position.

Mr. Gamlathge Dilip Nishantha, who joined the Sri Lanka Administrative Service in 2006, has completed over 16 years of service in connection with the Election Department in 2007 and has worked as an Assistant Election Commissioner and Deputy Election Commissioner in Kegalle, Badulla, Matale and Kurunegala districts.

He has also held positions as the Deputy Director (Administration) of Sri Lanka Mahaweli Authority.
