The National Vesak week started today in conjunction with the Rajya Vesak festival of Sri Sambuddha year 2567 and in connection with it, the District Secretariat has planned to implement many programs giving priority to Amisa and policy offerings.

The first program was organized by the planning department of Ice Cream Dansala, which was started today (02) under the chairmanship of the District Secretary Mr. Ranjan Jayasinghe.

In addition to this, a training workshop on jackfruit related products organized by the Employment Promotion Division on May 03, a Green Porridge Dansala distributed by the Institutional Division on May 04, a Sugar Sambola Dansala with Bread by the Accounts Division, and Buddhist Affairs Division organized on the same day. It is also planned to hold a poetry lecture program.
