With the aim of increasing the employability of the unemployed youth in Kegalle district, the "Kegallu Abhiman-2023" vocational training program with local and foreign job market is organized to be conducted at the Kegalle Girls' College on July 8th with the participation of all government ministries and departments. 

A briefing meeting was held today (10) in the morning of the district secretariat office for the officials working in the divisional secretariats who are assigned the responsibilities related to the respective fields of the programme.

To provide many services through the program including career guidance, career training opportunities, jobs at home and abroad, financial institution service facilities, self-employment in industry/agriculture/services, providing certificates based on prior knowledge (RPL) issued by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission.

The publicity and awareness related to this program will be implemented covering the whole district in the future.

District Governor/District Secretary Ranjan Jayasinghe, Additional District Secretary (Lands and Development) Gamlathge Dilip Nishantha , YOULEAD Project Head Jagath Harishchandra, YOULEAD Project Zonal Head Lakmal Weerasinghe, District Planning Director A.A.
