The Kegalle District Coordinating Committee meeting was chaired by the Kegalle District Political Authority and attended by government officials this morning (19).

A number of issues related to Kegalle district were discussed in the district coordination committee meeting which was started by focusing on the future activities of the We Oya multi-purpose reservoir project under the multi-phase program approach to reduce climate impacts.

Accordingly, the progress of the 'New Village - New Country' program, Prosperity Production Village Program, Food Security Program, USAID Partner Program and World Bank supported programs were discussed here.

In addition, attention was paid to the development programs implemented by the District Secretariat and the development programs implemented by the Provincial Council, and the intervention of government agencies to prevent the spread of dengue in the district was brought to the special attention of the district coordination committee this time.

In the coordination committee, many areas such as agriculture, education, water supply works, electricity supply, road maintenance and repairs and approved proposals and changes of the limited committee were discussed in the district.
