The foundation stone for the first early childhood development center in Kegalle district of the "Piyawara" early childhood development center construction project, which is implemented to cover the whole island under the auspices of Hemas Outreach Foundation and as per the advice of its executive director Mrs. Shiromi Maskorala, was laid today (01) in the morning at the auspicious moment of 10.29, it was done under the patronage of Mr. Ranjan Jayasinghe, District Governor/District Secretary.

This fully-equipped early childhood development center, which is being built in the office premises of the district secretary's office, is to be completed within two months.

Additional District Secretary (Lands and Development) Gamalatge Dilip Nishantha, Assistant District Secretary (RA) G.R.M.K. Gunaratne, Administrative Officer Yamini Ratnayake, District Early Childhood Development Officer Bhadra Abeywickrama and others in the district secretariat staff, officials of Hemas Outreach Foundation and others were present.
