According to the instructions and guidance of the Kegalle District Secretary and the Director of the National Elderly Secretariat, a mobile service for providing elderly ID cards for adults over 60 years of age was implemented at the Deraniyagala and Rambukkana Divisional Secretariats.

The National Elderly General Secretariat had made provision for that and nearly 1400 elderly people participated in the mobile service.

On that occasion, the Divisional Secretaries of the Deraniyagala and Rambukkana Divisional Secretariats and the staff of the Social Services Division, the District Elderly Promotion Officer Mrs. Delani Kumari and a group of elders were present.
