A discussion was held yesterday (26) under the chairmanship of Additional District Secretary (Lands) Gamalatge Dilip Nishantha at the District Secretariat Auditorium to cover all small, medium and large scale businesses in Kegalle District.

Empowerment of Kegalle district from industry and service sector by focusing on aspects like existing industries as well as new industries and businesses expected to be started, business registration, technical trends, traffic problems, cost and account management, increase in financial efficiency, etc. 

In order to set up the industrial plan, a committee was established to represent a number of sectors related to industry including the district secretary, regional secretaries, labor, environment, small business, health, productivity, agriculture, development, industrial development, export processing, businessmen. After a formal training given to them, the district industry plan will be prepared.

Accordingly, after one more week, from the level of the village official, the existing industries will be counted and classified at the district level, and future plans will be prepared based on expert advice.

District Planning Director, District Agriculture Director, District Samurdhi Director, Assistant Director of Small Business Division, Provincial Director of Industrial Development Board, Director of Central Environment Authority (Sabaragamuwa) were present on this occasion.
