The annual elderly trip launched with the participation of the members of the Kegalle District Elderly Committee was successfully organized recently (25) this time focusing on Mahiyangana Puda Bima.

This tour provided space for the senior citizens who spend their evenings in religion and nature to visit many attractive places including Victoria and Randenigala Reservoirs, Mahiyangana Temple, Dambana village where the Vannila people of Uruvari live, and Sorabora Lake.

This program was organized by the department including Mrs. Dilani Kumari, District Elderly Promotion Officer, on the provisions of the National Elderly General Secretariat.

Additional District Secretary (Administration) Dinisha S. Ratnayake, District Accountant Chandani Nilmalgoda and members of the District and Regional Boards of Elders were present for this trip.
