According to the advice and guidance of the Kegalle District Secretary and the Additional District Secretary, in conjunction with the National Literary Festival, the Folk Song and Story Presentation Competitions of the District Literature Competition were held in Sinhala, English and Tamil media at the Kegalle Cultural Center (25) recently.

Many contestants participated in these competitions held under primary, post-primary, junior, senior and senior secondary sections and the program was organized by the district cultural department including Mrs. Kanchana Wijeratne, the district cultural officer.
