Susata Kalawaka Kegalle Retrospective "Kala Vibhashi - 2023" District Literary Festival was concluded recently (27th) at Kegalle St/Joseph Girls Primary College Auditorium under the chairmanship of District Governor/District Secretary Mr. Ranjana Jayasinghe.

The invited guests were brought to the hall by Ves dance of the district dance squad and after the all-religious rites, the ceremony started.

This time, for the first time, a theme song was added to the "Kala Vibhashi" district literature festival, which was created by the officials of the district secretariat.

Then the "Kala Vibhashi" commemorative magazine was officially presented to the Governor and the winners of the "Ranga Pratibha" short drama competition held in conjunction with the District Literary Festival were presented with awards and certificates. The best short stage play this year was the play "Ae Hinaya Mye" directed by Kenneth Rohana Perera of Kegalle Cultural Authority. Also, prizes were awarded for many categories including best actor, best screenplay, and merit certificates.

"Kala Vibhashi Abhinandana" awards were presented to six artists in appreciation of the work done by veteran artists in Kegalle district for the sake of art. Also, prizes and certificates were given to the winners of the district literature competition organized by the Department of Cultural Affairs.

District Dance Squad, Tolangamuwa Middle School, St. Mary's College, Beragala Maha Vidyalaya, St. Mary's Tamil College had added many elements to make the District Literary Festival colorful.

This program was organized with the support of the entire staff led by the district culture department, including the district cultural officer Ms. Kanchana Wijeratne.

On that occasion, Additional District Secretary (Administration) Dinisha S. Rathnayake, Additional District Secretary (Lands) Gamalatge Dilip Nishantha and a group of staff officers, regional officials, government officials, artists and school students were present.
