The Sri Lanka Tourism and Hotel Management Institute, which is under the Ministry of Tourism and Lands, conducted a program of giving confirmation letters to Kegalle district students who studied short-term hospitality training programs in the hotel sector covering all 25 districts today (16) at the district secretariat auditorium.

57 young people between the ages of 18-25 who are interested in the hotel industry in Kegalle district took the opportunity for these training courses coordinated by the district planning department. Accordingly, for the successful completion of the two courses of food and beverage service and hotel housekeeping, the students received the relevant confirmation letters today and they will be given certificates after one year of training in hotels.

These training courses were held at Warakapola and Kegalle Technical Colleges and the instructors were Mr. Kaushalya Nanayakkara and Mrs. Madhushalini.

The program was organized by the District Planning Division's Deputy Planning Director Mrs. Indika Senaratne.

District Planning Director A.A. Weerakon, Sri Lanka Tourism and Hotel Management School (Ratnapura) Principal Mr. Kanishka Nugawela and a group of students attended the course.
