An event program was recently held at the District Secretariat where the capabilities of the government officials who completed the 150 hour official language proficiency course were presented.

About 170 officials from government institutions in Kegalle district including the District Secretariat participated in this.

Under the guidance of the Department of Official Languages, the course was successfully held with the intervention of Mrs. Indika Weeraratne, National Integration Promotion Assistant.

Additional District Secretary (Development) Mr. Dilip Nishantha, Assistant District Secretary Ms. Malsha L Priyadarshani, Tamil Language Advisor Mr. K. M. Niptar, Deputy Planning Director Ms. Indika Senaratne, Administrative Officer Ms. Yamini Ratnayake and a group of officials from the Language Department of the District Secretariat joined in this event.
