The last district audit management committee of this year met yesterday (05) at the district secretariat auditorium under the chairmanship of the district president/district secretary Mr. Ranjana Jayasinghe.

In order to further maintain the transparency regarding unauthorized land allocation, increasing the awareness of the village officials, the need to conduct a census related to lease land, license land, allowance land, providing a list of duties for all development officers, providing the elderly allowance for more than three consecutive months. Attention was paid to many issues including focusing on the unaccompanied adult.

Also many matters including the acquisition of land for Kegalle Municipal Parks, non-completion of Warakapola bus stand construction, Aranayaka spice production village, implementation of community development programs by increasing the allocations given to Gram Shakti Samiti, obtaining information for the action plan for the year 2024, etc. It was also discussed here.

Mr. S.A.N.A. Subhasinghe, the Chief Internal Auditor of the Management Audit Department joined this event to comment.

On that occasion, Additional District Secretary (Administration) K.G.S. Nishantha, Additional District Secretary (Lands) Gamlathge Dilip Nishantha, Director of Management Audit Department M.R.V.R. Meepura, Audit Superintendent N.M.P.H. Wickramasinghe, Internal Auditor Tushari Jayawardena, Chief Accountant Chandani Nilmalgoda and other staff officers, Divisional Secretaries, Deputy and Assistant Planning Directors of District and Divisional Secretariats, accountants and other government officials were present.
