The All-Ceylon and District Dhamma School Student Competency Evaluation Certificate Ceremony for the year 2023 was held yesterday (21) afternoon at the Kegalle Municipal Council Hall.

In this prize ceremony jointly organized by the Department of Buddhist Affairs and the Kegalle District shasanarakshaka balamandalaya, prizes and certificates were presented to 205 children who won in 41 evaluation events at the all-Ceylon and district level.

Also, special awards and certificates were given to the two Dhamma school children who won the first places in all Sri Lanka and special commemorative posters were also presented to the two Dhamma schools representing those children.

On that occasion, the following Bulathgama korala chief Sanghanayake of Satara Korala Maha Dikshatra Venerable Hemmathagama Siddhartha Nahimipano, Satara Korala Maha Dikshatra Deputy Chief Sanghanayake, Kegalle District Shasanarakha Board Honorary Registrar Retired Principal, Pinnawala Shasanaharshaka Board Honorary President, Pinnawala Sri Sudarshananarama Viharasthan Reverend Danukewaththa Lord Selavimala including the Chairman and Registrar of the District and Regional Police Boards, Sabaragamuwa Provincial Governor Advocate Navin Dissanayake, Kegalle District Secretary/Diplomat Ranjana Jayasinghe, Kegalle Additional District Secretary (Lands) Gamlathge Dilip Nishantha, Buddhist Affairs Commissioner (Daham Schools) Wasantha Liyanage, Kegalle Mawanella, Aranayaka Divisional Secretaries, Assistant Divisional Secretaries, Headquarter Police Inspector, government officials, Dhamma school students and parents were present.
