A briefing was held today (01) at the Kegalle Slick Hotel to make the existing buildings and newly constructed buildings accessible to the disabled due to the difficulties that have arisen in accessing public buildings in fulfilling the service needs of people with disabilities.

Ms. Nisha Shafir and Mr. Vimukti Herath contributed resources for that awareness. This awareness was organized by the social services and engineering departments of the district secretariat on the sponsorship of Devpro Institute, O'Hearn Institute and Janata Development Foundation.

On that occasion, Additional District Secretary (Administration) K.G.S. Nishantha, District Engineer Saranath Wimalachandra, District Social Service Officer Sarath Ranaweera, Public Service Organization Coordinator Officer Nishantha Premathilaka, all technical officers and assistant technical officers of the district were present.
