In conjunction with the 76th Independence Day, a monetary donation program organized by the District Elders' Board was held recently (16) at the District Secretariat Auditorium.

There, financial rewards of five thousand rupees each were given to eleven adults in need of shelter to get dry food.

Also, a lecture on attitude development for adults was also held in conjunction with this program by involving the Counselor Assistant Officer of Aranayake Divisional Secretariat.

The program was organized by the department including the District Elderly Promotion Officer Mrs. Dilani Kumari.

On that occasion, District Secretary / Governor Ranjana Jayasinghe, Additional District Secretary Dilip Nishantha, Assistant Divisional Secretary Malsha L. Priyadarshini, government officials and others were present.
