The District Secretariat and the National Enterprise Development Authority jointly organized a program to raise awareness among entrepreneurs involved in the batik industry today (20) in the District Secretariat Auditorium under the chairmanship of District Secretary/District Governor Mr. Ranjana Jayasinghe.

There, special attention was paid to the upliftment of batik industries in the district, the coordination needed to register environmentally friendly batik industries, coordination of raw materials, purchase of batik products, holding the District Batik Producers Association.

Also, Mr. Jayashanta Kumara, the trainer, informed the entrepreneurs who came about entrepreneurship, positive thinking and attitude development.

District Enterprise Development Officer Mrs. Sakuntala Priyangani was organized this programme.

On that occasion, Additional District Secretary (Lands) Dilip Nishantha, Assistant Director of National Enterprise Development Authority Hashika De Mel, Senior Manager of Salusala Institute Janaka Botheju, Batik Adviser of Western Province Education Department Mrs. Gayani De Alwis, Enterprise Development Officers, Batik Entrepreneurs were present on that occasion.
