A preliminary discussion about the Kegalle district program to be held in the series of scholarship programs implemented nationwide under the President's Fund was held today (12) afternoon at the District Secretariat under the chairmanship of the Minister of State for Finance Mr. Ranjith Siyabalapitiya.

According to the concept of Mr. President Ranil Wickramasinghe, scholarships are to be awarded under this program to 100000 students who are economically challenged but who show special talent through educational and academic activities and to 6000 students who are going to appear for the GCE Advanced Level Examination.

Accordingly, the scholarship award for 3650 school children under the Kegalle district program is scheduled to be held on the 16th at the Kegalle Freeway.
