The Kegalle District Social Service Officer Progress Review Meeting was held yesterday (19) at the District Secretariat Auditorium under the patronage of Kegalle District Additional Secretary K. G. S. Nishantha.

After explaining the objectives of this progress review meeting, the Additional District Secretary and District Social Service Officer Sarath Ranaweera discussed the program to celebrate the 2024 International Day of Persons with Disabilities, conducting vocational training interviews for the year 2025, raising awareness about the duties of the Provincial Social Service Ministry, the program to employ persons with disabilities, issues related to the payment of allowances for persons with disabilities and kidney disease, providing tool kits to vocational training recipients, entering information on persons with disabilities, and the progress of direct assistance and special project assistance.

It was emphasized in this discussion that the vocational training interviews for the year 2025 will be held on the 28th of 2024 at the Tholangamuwa Vocational Training Center and on the 29th at the Ruwanwella Divisional Secretariat.

The event was attended by the Senior Social Service Officer of the Sabaragamuwa Province, Indumala Abeysiriwardena, all the Social Service Officers of the Divisional Secretariats of the Kegalle District, Development Officers and all the officers of the Social Service Division of the District Secretariat.
