A Dhamma sermon organized by the Buddhist Affairs and Cultural Divisions of the Kegalle District Secretariat on the occasion of the 2025 Poson Poya Day was held on 09.06.2025 at the District Secretariat premises. Kegalle District Secretary / Government Agent Mr.H. M. J. M. Herath, Additional District Secretary Mr.Dilip Nishantha, Additional District Secretary Mrs.T. Kusum Bandara and all other staff officers participated and the preacher was the Chief Incumbent of the historic Lenagampala Rajamaha Viharaya in Malwana, Kegalle Thunmuduna Sri Valukaramadhikar, Kegalle Elagalla Sri Pragnodaya Maha Pirivena Deputy Parivenadhipathi Sastrapati Rajakaya Pandita Mudungama Uditha Dhamma Thero.
State officers from all divisions of the District Secretariat participated in this event.

The "Pushpa Pooja" Mal Dansala organized by the Kegalle District Elders' Council will be held on 2025. 06. 10 am. 9. 30 was held at the Wattaram Sri Arahantha Maliyadeva Rajamaha Viharaya under the patronage of Kegalle Additional District Secretary Mr.Dilip Nishantha, Additional District Secretary Mrs.T. Kusum Bandara and the Divisional Secretaries of Galigamuwa - Warakapola Divisional Secretariats.
The flowers collected by the Rural Elders Committees of all the Divisional Secretariats of the district are collected by the District Secretariat and distributed to the Buddhist devotees visiting the Wattaram Rajamaha Viharaya and this program was organized by the Elders Division of the Kegalle District Secretariat and the District Elders' Council. Galigamuwa, Kegalle and Warakapola Elders' Rights Promotion Officers actively participated in this charitable event.
