A digital directory of multi-stakeholder service providers for victims of gender-based violence is being developed.
With the aim of preventing all forms of violence and abuse, including domestic violence, at the rural and urban levels, and creating equality and justice, the Ministry of Women and Child Affairs, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the Jaffna Social Activists Centre (JSAC) jointly developed a digital directory of multi-stakeholder service providers in the Kegalle district for families and children who are at risk of gender-based violence.
In order to respond to this, the aim is to introduce the directory of NGOs providing these services to the website of the Ministry of Women and Child Affairs and all the institutions that respond to this.
This program was organized by the Women's Development Officer of the District Secretariat, Ms. Manori Dehimaduwa.
This event was attended by Assistant District Secretary Malsha L. Priyadarshani, United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Program Coordinator Hiroshi Gunathilaka, Jaffna Social Activists' Center (JSAC) Project Officer Samuel Pulogahasinghe, representatives from health, police, education, law, probation, social services, community corrections, counseling, women's development, non-governmental organizations and the District Women's Association.
