National Productivity Competition 2025/26
The National Productivity Competition 2025/26 to be held this year after five years is planned to be held under the theme “A Country Rich in Productivity” in line with the Clean Sri Lanka National Program. Accordingly, an awareness session regarding this competition for schools, pirivenas and the private sectors was held at the District Secretariat Auditorium today (30).
The officials of each institution, representing nearly 180 schools and pirivenas, were informed about the submission of applications for the National Productivity Competition for Schools and Pirivenas, the competition conditions and all matters related to the competition.
This year, the school and pirivena divisions will be held under 5 categories. Accordingly, classes up to Advanced Level, Ordinary Level, Grade 5 are divided into categories under Private and International and Pirivenas (Primary Pirivenas, Maha Pirivenas, Vidyathana Pirivenas). Accordingly, according to the marks obtained by the schools/Pirivens, special merit, 1st, 2nd, 3rd place and gold awards will be awarded.
This time, the competition will be held under two categories in the private sector production and service sector and awards will be given as gold awards, 1st, 2nd, 3rd place, special merit and merit. The criteria for the competition held this time regarding the private sector were also informed here.
The Productivity Awards Ceremony will be held in August 2026 and the necessary awareness to face it successfully was provided here by the Senior Productivity Development Officers of the National Productivity Secretariat.
This awareness raising was organized by the District Productivity Unit and was held with the assistance of Senior Productivity Development Officers of the Divisional Secretariats. The event was attended by Maha Sangha Ratnaya. District Secretary Jagath Herath, Additional District Secretary (Land) Dilip Nishantha, Director of the National Productivity Secretariat Neranjana Ace Jayakody, principals, teachers, and representatives of small and medium scale enterprises representing schools and Pirivenas.
