Eleven elderly houses covering all the Divisional Secretariat divisions in the Cagle district, residing 211 elderly women and 79 elderly men. For the welfare of their welfare, the National Secretariat General Office of the Regional Secretariat conducts various programs by contacting the adult promotion officers of the Divisional Secretariat Division.

Accordingly, the three day workshop that started today explained the aspects of maintaining standards of adult houses, keeping accounts properly in home, and good management. The social work officer of National Secretariat General was joined for that and the development officer Mrs Sevwandi Kanchana Mala was explained about the adult housing.

Also, the health education officer of Kegalle Health Medical Officer office, Mr. IH Rajapakshe, who joined to this inform, conducted theoretical and practical training on the importance of providing basic care to a sick adult.

The workshops concluded today after a field study conducted by Rangwala Wickramasinghe Adult House.

The program was organized by the district adult promotion officers Mrs. Dilani Kumari and the administrative officers Mrs. Yamini Rathnayake and the administrative officers of the regional secretariat were together at the inauguration ceremony.
