Serie week begins. 

Clean Sri Lanka National Programme to maintain organization within state institutions, Sairi Week is implemented from today. According to this morning. At 8:30 a.m. a special meeting with the presence of all the officers of the District Secretariat was informed about the implementation of Serie Week. Seri Week will be implemented from 01 - 04 September targeting various profiles at government offices. Allocating needed and unnecessary things inside the office on the first day of that week, to make the outer environment of the office into a unnecessary premises on the second day, identifying the risk places that need to be unsafe and unnecessary inside the office premises on the last day, formally out of polythene and plastic inside the office premises. Booked to do and minimize use. District Secretary/Dissident Mr. Jagat Herath showed the importance of all officers working together to properly set up the office premises for an effective and efficient public service. Productivity Development Officer Mr. Saman Bandara explained the importance of Seri Week as well as the values that can be gained through removing unwanted and bringing closer to the necessary things for his duty and personal lives. Staff officers and staff, including additional district secretaries, gathered together for the event.
