Investigated the progress of joint programs implemented by HR and Social Work Officers of Division 11 in the AA Divisional Secretariat, aiming at employing special needs groups and referring to various practical activities in 2025 A view meeting was held yesterday (25) at Kegalle District Secretariat Auditorium under the leadership of Additional District Secretary Mrs. Kusum Bandara (Government).
The Department of Social Services should be notified once every month about its progress in employment of special needs persons and investigating the number of people who have employed so at the AA Divisional Secretariat level from January 2025 to August 10th of October 2025 Awards ceremony is going to be held in Ratnapura for those people like this. Considering this matter as a special point, the amount of Divisional Secretariat divisions can claim that award ceremony and how many people with disabilities have been employed from the AA Divisional Secretariat divisions according to the relevant recommendations. Accordingly, the verbal discussion emphasized that 7 Divisional Secretariats have currently qualified for the awards ceremony.
In addition to this, the progress was reviewed at the Divisional level as usual and identified the ongoing issues regarding the employment was also done here. Also here was a subsequent application of reasons that 4 divisional secretariats were still affected by not entering the awards ceremony.
HR Development Officers, Social Service Officers and all officers from the District Social Service Department attended the event and District Social Service Officer Saratranaveera and District HR Development Officer Ranjith Mugunuwala conducted the review meeting.
