"One handful - farm ground" International Fertilizer Day National Celebration Workshop and Marketing Exhibition started today (13) at Kegalle Municipality Hall.

The exhibition also facilitated the government's new agricultural subsidy programs, introduction of greenhouse cultivation, introduction of improved fertilizers in a profitable and eco-friendly new generation with the participation of leading fertilizer companies, as well as the soil testing facilities by mobile laboratory services.

According to the survey of the 2025 National Fertilizer Secretariat Office, a prize distribution was also done in appreciation of the farmers who conducted an eco-friendly agriculture using the recommended fertilizer and eco-friendly sustainable organic cultivation for a healthy generation.

Nearly twenty exhibition booths were added for this year's national celebration organized by the National Fertilizer Secretariat.

Kegalle district parliamentary minister Kanchana Welipitiya, gentlemen Mano Rajapaksha, mayor of Kegalle municipal council, deputy mayor, district secretary, additional district secretaries, additional district secretaries, ministry of agriculture Janaki Amarathunga, deputy director of national fertilizer secretariat office, Mr. Mahesh Karunaratne and Mr. Agriculture. Officers involved in the field gathered together the farming community, students and children.
