"Art Examiner - 2025" Kegalle District Literary Arts Festival was held yesterday (30) at Kegalle College Auditorium, harvesting art fields across the district. All art media owns literature so it is better to call this an art festival. The event will be called one-hand as an opportunity to showcase the art talents of artists with various talents in the arts sector belonging to the AA Divisional Secretariat divisions of the district.
We should be proud of how traditional democratic bodies have been protected with respect and with great dignity since a ritual period. It is a great task to conduct such literary arts festival once a year at district level to educate, nurture, and preserve the modern generation about various choreography arts in Sri Lanka.
It's the current topic to consolidate a creative arts community in one place under different levels, the time, environment, the inability to consolidate groups, and most of all, finding money which is the main difficulty etc. The main objective of an event like this is to honour them at district level or such an event and not stopping to encourage the knowledgeable artists in the field, motivate the apprentices and encourage the artists etc. The only literature brand in the district that has taken all these matters into consideration can be called "Art Inspector".
This year's festival also started after hoisting the national flags, lighting the coconut oil lamps and all religious institutions. After that, the art exhibition website (electric memorial zone) including the creations of the winners of this year's District Literature Festival. Tribute to various dance performances and artists as soon as the start of the flowing of the art festival. Presenting award certificates is also a specialty.
It was one of the most valuable occasion at the Artist Mahotsava to select 11 artists above 70 years of age representing 11 divisions of Kegalle district this year.
Also presentation of stories from English, Sinhala, Tamil media, children's story creation, folk singing, handwriting, songwriting, short stories, poetry (evening), poetry (nisade), Janashrati studies, literary reviews, poetry singing, folk stories recreated the primary/poster of the district literary competition Recognizing primary winners and prize distribution, phase 2 district tournament open division/senior and senior secondary winners, prizes and to junior division winners of the third district literary competition. The certificate offer was also done.
The folk song critical lecture was conducted by a modern creation inquiry that was conducted to this year's Vibhashi stage, our voice, our village, and a new creation inquiry led by Mr. Saman Panapitiya, Professor of Human Dynasty Music Science at Aesthetic University.

For making this event a success, District Secretary Jagat Herath, Additional District Secretary (Government) Kusuma Bandara, Additional District Secretary (Idam) Dileep Nishantha, Assistant District Secretary Mr. Malsha L Priyadarshani, all the staff officers of the District Secretariat, who supported this work in a way. Officers from all sectors, cultural officers who supportly serve central and provincial councils in regional secretariat offices should deserve a special thanks.
