The non-state coordination committee meeting for the third quarter was held today (12) at the District Secretariat Auditorium with the aim of reviewing the progress of the operation of non-state organizations in the district and the proposed activities relevant to 2025.
Additional District Secretary (Idam) Mr. Dilip Gamalathge who joined the event gratefully recalled the sponsorship from non-state organizations for most of the district programs operating on government limited grants. Also, as we work to provide more attention to disaster management in the coming year. A request from organizations that are working to provide support, to focus on minimizing the effects of crocodiles related to Maoi in Rambukkana Pinna, and to focus on drug prevention.
The Berandina Organization has currently provided two new houses and houses in connection with the Bulathkohupitiya and Dehiovi related youth community, programs targeted by the disabled community and water and sanitary facilities for homes of selected integrated families. 10 renovations have been underway. Here it is shown that the toilet facilities are still working to provide 19 houses and encourage entrepreneurs by giving more attention to tea cultivation. The Sarvodaya Campaign showed that the district is providing services exceeding 415 rural societies, selecting eight young and adult entrepreneurs and giving an allowance of Rs. 20,000 each and working in partnership towards social development access. Likewise, Wildlife Conservation Association is planning to implement a pilot project related to Galigamuwa to control related to Rambukkana, Aranayaka and Dehiowi division related to Rambukkana, Aranayaka and Dehiowi.
Child and women safety, entrepreneurship in the district including Handwala, People Development Foundation.
Representatives of non-state organizations to raise social and economic conditions including education, health, welfare, reconciliation presented facts here on the progress related to the third quarter of AA organizations and the challenges ahead.
Also presented the ideas and suggestions to help non-government organizations for various programs of field officials were presented here by the field officials of the District Secretariat.
