National program to aware thousands of young entrepreneurs NATINAL PROGRAM FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF 1000 YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS (4 I PROJECT) took place on 2025 12 29 Kegalle District Secretary/Disapati H. M. J. M. At district secretariat auditorium under the leadership of Mr. Herath.
The Ministry of Industry, the National Productivity Secretariat and the District Secretariat have jointly implemented this 4I project (Intergrate Innovation and Implementation for Improvement) as a pilot project started centered around the Gampaha district in 2022. The project was able to bring to the national level because of its success, and the project aims to study businessmen's businesses for 3 years and work with them to uplift those business places. It is a special fact that 504 companies in 17 districts in Sri Lanka are currently integrated with this project. Accordingly 29 entrepreneurs have been selected from Kegalle district and 25 of them were invited to the meeting. The meeting that was scheduled to be held on November 28, in a background where the national project is operating islandwide, was the reason for the negative period of hurricane Ditwa to postpone until 2025 12 29. This meeting was also specialized to see those businesses who battered that hurricane and businesses who faced it directly and curved.
The benefits of the project for entrepreneurs
Management consultancy services, services and coordination can be provided through the departments under the ministry, providing required facilities for loan schemes, certificates and consultancy services and financial facilities, services provided through the District Coordination Committee, import exports required Facilities and direct intervention, introduction of technical advices to improve quality of products, referring to local foreign study requirements for new business experience exchange, encouraging buyers for opportunity for local and foreign trade exhibition participation, creating facilities to improve marketing skills, Throwback for development work
The above opportunities going can be suspicious and the following should be fulfilled on the side of the entrepreneurs.
Giving opportunity and facilitating project officers to reach the institution premises, to directly join the institution head project and coordinate all staff awareness programs of the company. (Capacity Building), joining field trips, managing expenses while projecting. (Training programs/field trips), coordination and assistance to strategy and preparation of action plans for the business and implementation accordingly, providing corporate accurate data and information related to management analysis, actively contributing to public training programs, while preparing guidelines handbooks (along with the project) Providing support, bearing costs of improvement provided by management experts, direct cooperation with the institution head for progress review meeting, setting up exhibitionboards at the company level relevant to project implementation,
Focused here on going matters and Mr. Entrepreneurs engaged in various businesses in the district got involved in this. Kegalla Additional District Secretary Dilip Nishantha (Idam), Assistant Director Umali Priyadarshani, Project Officer and 4I Project Consultant Darshana Kulathunga and Harshana Arangalla as resource holders to achieve the objectives here.
