The National Building Research Organization is preparing to conduct the rehabilitation process of landslides identified due to the minor storm "Ditwa" more efficiently and transparently. The National Building Research Organization's human habitat plans and habitats are integrated to monitor the current progress of the rehabilitation program. A digital system (Landslide Induced Resettlement Infomation System - LIRIS) has been created.
The first online training program to introduce this digital system was held last day and as its second step the training program to introduce this new digital system with practical activities on 2026 02 05 was held at Kegalle District Secretariat Auditorium Kegalle District Secretariat H. M. J. M. Under the leadership of Mr. Herath.
Through this system, the information of each local division level identified high risk families and to continuously update measures (compensation payments, alternative lands, residency status). Also there is an opportunity to get any information related to this process easily and quick to exchange. It is easy to get all the updates related information in Kegalle district where many disasters occurred due to the cyclone and floods.
This method provides an opportunity to answer questions, questions and identify those issues related to resettling. Also being able to make tasks easier by the new digital system introduced to do this task more accurately and transparently. Local Secretaries, District Disaster Sector officers and IT officers from the District Secretariat Division 11 attended the program organized by the Training Unit of the District Secretariat.
