Mr. Masato Kanda Masato Kanda, the president of the Bank of Asian Development (ADB) has arrived the island these days for a third-day official visit aimed to hold discussions with key stakeholders and monitor damage in areas affected by Ditwa hurricane.
Mr. A who joined to inspect Ambalakanda area of Aranayaka Divisional Secretariat of Kegalla district which was damaged by hurricane Ditwa, was on the 24th day.
And the surveillance trip will be impatient to decide on the fields required to develop under the grants received from the Asian Development Bank.
For the occasion, a group of senior officers including the President of Asian Development Bank along with its South Asian Regional Department Director General Sona Shrestha, Chief Advisor Keiichiro Inui, Senior Advisor of the Chairman Office, Mr. Manisha Pradhananga, Senior Advisor of the Chairman's Office, Mr. Nanda Bandara, Kegalle District Secretary Mr. Jagat Herath, Alternative Executive Director of Asian Development Bank Mr. Mahinda Siriwardhana and its representatives.
A group of government officials including Treasurer Secretary Dr. Harshana Nanayakkara, Provincial Secretary Mrs. Shamali Piyathissa, Deputy Director of Waste Management Center Mr. Deshapriya Bandara also joined the event.
