A discussion on expansion of Kadugannawa road and implementation of necessary measures to prevent leadership yesterday (15) afternoon, Mr. Kegalla District Coordination Committee Chairman Mr. Dhammika Patabande and Kegalla District Secretary KGS. held under the leadership of Mr. Nishantha.

Currently, the Colombo Kandy road has been opened to traffic using temporary measures, but permanent action should be taken immediately. Many families of identified places should be removed from those places when applying necessary measures to avoid the cases. Action to be taken for that was discussed at this meeting.

Inquired about acquisition of roadside land to expand and prepare the road, preparing an early scene technique to relocate those families, introducing an alternative livelihood route for them.

For this occasion, officers including Parliament MP Samantha Ranasinghe, Deputy Director General of Road Development Authority, Kegalle Additional District Secretary (Idam), Mawanella Regional Secretary, Kegalle Deputy IG, District Chief Geologist A group got together for the event.
