These awareness programs are conducted to cover the island by the National Child Guard Authority, which is responsible to do their best interest, protecting all children from abuses, and performing the responsibility of the country's utmost interest in achieving the objectives of the National Child Guard Authority Act No. 50. Accordingly, the awareness work has been done in the Northwestern, North Central and Western provinces and the first program in Sabaragamuwa province was held today.

Dr. Chaminda Weerasiriwardhana joined the first lecture of this program to prevent all forms of violence and abuse against children in schools. Mr A came here and informed the group about positive teaching and class management and the second lecture was informed about the legal condition of physical penalty according to the penalty law.
