The Kala Vibhashi-2022 Literary Festival organized by the Kegalle District Culture Department came to an end today (06) in the morning at the Kegalle College Auditorium amid many colorful elements and parades.

This year's district literature festival was colorful with various religious ceremonies as well as Angam dance, tambourine, Tamil dance, mixed dance and Salupali.

In this literary festival held under the chairmanship of the District Secretary / District Secretary Mr. Mahinda S. Weerasooriya, "Kegalu Disapati Prasada Abhinandana" awards were presented to ten senior artists of the district who dedicated themselves to the advancement of art. The awards were sponsored by Bank of Ceylon and People's Bank.

Certificates were awarded to the students who won the district level literary competitions covering all the divisional secretariats of the district as well as the winners in the open division.

Under the full supervision of the Governor, the release of the book "Kegalu Purawata" which includes religious, cultural, economic and social matters that have not been popular so far in the district was also done in conjunction with the Kala Vibhashi Sahitya Festival. District Culture Officer Padmini Wickrama Lata and Inquiry Officer Tharindu Bandara, who were specially dedicated to writing the book, presented the book to the Governor. This book will be provided free of charge to school libraries and Divisional Secretariats in the future.

Officials from all sections of the District Secretariat made a great effort by devoting their time and effort to make the District Literary Festival a success.

Priyadarshini and all the staff officers, Divisional Secretaries, principals, artists, students, parents, government officials, etc. were together.
