According to the instructions and guidance of the Kegalle District Governor and the Director of the National Elderly Secretariat, an eye and hearing clinic for low-income adults over 60 years of age was organized at the Kegalle Wevaladenia Temple and Dehiovita Divisional Secretariat on June 22 and 23.

Nearly five hundred adults participated in these two clinics under the provisions of the National Elderly General Secretariat.

The support of the officers of the social service sections of all the divisional secretariats and the support of the elders' boards helped to make these activities successful by the organization of the district elder promotion officer Mrs. Delani Kumari.
