The progress review of the social service officers working in the Kegalle district and the self-reliance board meeting was held today (27) in the morning under the chairmanship of the district president/district secretary Mr. Ranjana Jayasinghe at the district secretariat office auditorium.

In this meeting, they were informed about the upcoming activities related to training programs related to candles, soap and soap powder, flour-based products, dehydrated food, packaging and marketing to be planned with the participation of the Industrial Development Board and Vidatha Centers for the disabled community.

Also, for the district celebration held on December 03, the International Day of Disability, the necessary matters were discussed to make a perfect program consisting of many aspects such as cultural, production, medical clinics, religious and awareness.

It was also announced that Aranayaka was the regional secretariat with the best self-reliance organization in the country at the national "Swabhimani" award ceremony, and the social service officer of the Rambukkana divisional secretariat won the second place for the best social service officer.

District Governor/District Secretary Ranjana Jayasinghe, Assistant District Secretary P.R.M.K Gunaratne, District Social Service Officer Sarath Ranaweera, District and Divisional Secretariat Social Service Officers and members of Swashakti Power Boards were present on this occasion.
