The new building of the "Didula" Preschool affiliated to the Kegalle District Secretariat was handed over to the students this morning (01) as the first pre-school in Kegalle district which was built with the financial support of Hemas Outreach Foundation at a cost of nearly 12 million.

Under the Hemas Outrichee Foundation's "Piyawara" community preschool project, preschools are being built for early childhood development all over the island and this is its 63rd preschool. Under the notification of the Ministry of Women, Children Affairs and Social Empowerment, as per the request of the District Secretary, the construction of this new building was completed within a short period of three months.

The admission of new students to the newly opened "Didula" pre-school was also done by the dignitaries and the colorful dance performances of the children were added to the occasion.

This program was organized by the District Mullama Vya Development Officer Mrs. Bhadra Abeywickrama.

On that occasion, District Governor/ District Secretary Ranjana Jayasinghe, Additional District Secretary (Administration) Dinisha S. Ratnayake, Chairman of Hemas Outreach Foundation Abbas Esufali, Executive Director Shiromi Maskorala and representatives of Hemas Company, Chief Accountant Mrs. Chandani Nilmalgoda, staff officers, government officials and parents were present.
