A program aimed at increasing the financial literacy of small and medium entrepreneurs was held today (20) at the Kegalle District Secretariat.

This program was organized under the leadership of the Vidatha Division with the contribution of the Commercial Bank.

Awareness on food labeling and regulations, financial literacy, awareness of services available for businesses, protection from financial fraud and prohibited financial schemes was done here.

About 100 entrepreneurs participated in this program from the Industrial Development Board, Small Business Division, Export Agriculture Department and Vidatha Center.

Additional District Secretary (Lands and Development) Mr. Dilip Nishantha, Provincial Director of Industrial Development Board, Assistant Director of Small Business Division, Assistant Director of Export Agriculture Department, District Agriculture Officer, Commercial Bank officials and Central Bank of Sri Lanka Matale Branch Manager were present for this event.
