Mr. K. G. S. Nishantha took over the post of Kegalle Additional District Secretary (Administration) today (23).

Having extensive experience in the field of administration, he received his basic education from Ampara Galahitiagoda Maha Vidyalaya, after which he completed his Bachelor of Arts (General) degree from Ruhuna University of Sri Lanka and post graduation from Kelaniya University in Economics stream.

In the year 2000, he joined the General Clerkship of the Department of Cultural Affairs as his first appointment. He joined the Sri Lankan Administrative Service on September 2nd, 2003. Since then, he has worked as the Assistant Divisional Secretary of Uhana Divisional Secretariat Division, Samurdhi as the Assistant Commissioner of Ampara District, and as the Divisional Secretary of Padiyathalawa, Galigamuwa and Kegalle Divisional Secretariat Divisions. Mr. KGS Nishantha is a first class officer in the Sri Lanka Administrative Service with twenty years of experience in the administrative service.
