A meeting to review the progress of the targeted programs for the protection and promotion of the cultural values ​​of the district for the second quarter of this year was held today (02) in the morning under the chairmanship of Additional District Secretary (Administration) Mr. KGS Nishantha in the auditorium of the District Secretariat. 

The officers presented the progress of the programs implemented at the level of the respective divisional secretariats in relation to the Dolos Mahe Pahana programs.

The officials were briefed about the competition conditions and judging related to this year's regional literary competition and it was also said that all regional literary festivals should be completed by September.

It was also announced in this meeting that the applications for the Inter-State Staff Design Competition can be applied for until August 31st. Including those matters, the performance of the roles related to the cultural officials were further discussed.

The meeting was organized by the district culture department including the district cultural officer Mrs. Kanchana Wijayaratne.

Cultural officers attached to the central government and the provincial council were present on that occasion.
