The water projects built in Aranayake and Galigamuwa Divisional Secretariat Divisions under the financial support of Laika Gnanam Foundation were handed over to the people under the leadership of Kegalle District Secretary Ranjana Jayasinghe and Laika Gnanam Padanem Vice President Suntharam Arumanayam recently (21).

Accordingly, 61 families will be benefited from the water project built on the basis of Aranayake Gammanangoda village with an allocation of 2387838.00 rupees. Setha sales for 47 families from the project built in the village of Ballapana Udaba, Galigamuwa on the allocation of 1052809.00 rupees.

The Kegalle District Water Supply Board has selected these villages for the project after investigating the most vulnerable families who cannot get water supply due to economic difficulties in the water supply area but need urgent water supply to their homes.

For this occasion, Kegalle District Planning Director A. A. Weerakoon, Aranayake Divisional Secretary Shamali Piyatissa, Galigamuwa Regional Secretary Susantha Herath, Laika Gnanam Padanem Kegalle District Liaison Officer Wasantha Priyadarshani, and a group of local residents including state pipers attended the event.
