The Kegalle District Celebration, which is being held at the district level on the occasion of the Mediation Day falling on the 18th of July, was held today (06) at the Kegalle District Secretariat under the patronage of the Kegalle District Secretary/Government Agent, Mr. Ranjana Jayasinghe.

 16 mediators who have served in the Kegalle District for more than 25 years were evaluated and certificates were presented on this occasion.

A detailed explanation of the role of a mediation board member was given by the Kegalle Divisional Secretary, Attorney-at-Law, Mrs. Priyangani Pethangoda, who participated in the event.

The District Mediation Unit, including the District Mediation Training Officer, Mrs. T. N. U. Padmakumari, had organized this program.

Additional District Secretary (Lands) Dilip Nishantha, Mawanella and Aranayake Divisional Secretaries, Community Mediation Fund Board Chairmen, Vice Chairmen, Mediation Program Officers, and Mediation Development Officers participated in this event.
