Kegalle District Governor/District Secretary Mr. Mahinda S. Weerasooriya said that in a time when the country is facing an economic crisis, a production economy should be found to find solutions and the role of small and medium scale entrepreneurs is unique for that.He mentioned this while being the chief guest at the opening ceremony of the 'Kegallu Enterprise-2022' Market and Trade Fair organized jointly by the District Small Business Development Division, the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs and the Kegalle District Secretariat.

Many entrepreneurs from the district are participating in the 'Kegalu Enterprise-2022' Market and Trade Fair held at the Kegalu City Hall and many different trade products including clothes, shoes, bags, food and drinks, ornamental flowers and handicrafts will be sold.

Organized by the District Small Business Division, the District Secretariat and the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, the 'Kegalu Enterprise-2022' market and trade fair will be held from November 30 to December 02.

For this occasion, Additional District Secretary (Administration) Charitha Illangakoon, Additional District Secretary (Lands and Development) Dinisha S. Ratnayake, District Planning Director A.A.Weerakoon, District Welfare Commissioner Kusum Bandara, Chief Accountant Chandani Nilmalgoda, Assistant District Secretary Malsha Priyadarshani, Assistant Director of Small Business Division  Mrs.Princi Manoja, Kegalle Divisional Secretary K.G.S.Nishantha, Provincial Director of Kegalle Industrial Development Board S.A.G.Senanayake, District Small Business Division officials, banking and finance Officials of institutions, representatives of Kegalu Trade Union and many entrepreneurs of the district participated in this inauguration.
