At a time when it is important to encourage workers for foreign jobs in order to earn foreign exchange for the national economy, the foreign employment development officers working in Kegalle district were briefed today (27) in the morning at the district secretariat auditorium regarding the legal security of the community expected to go abroad.

Accordingly, the Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau Act, the identification of a victim and the protection of those victims and awareness of the fundamental rights as well as the problems that arise for the officers while engaging in the duties of the department and their solutions were informed in this meeting.

Acting District Secretary Ms. Charitha Ilangakoon, who spoke here, stated that there is a need to send skilled workers abroad as a solution to the current economic crisis and to inform them legally as well as the government officials working at the regional level attached to the department further related to the legal profile of foreign workers awareness is also very important.
