A special district coordination committee meeting to discuss the final report of the delimitation committee presented by the limited commission was held this morning (06) under the leadership of the district political authority, including the co-chairmen of the district coordination committee,  Sabaragamuu Provincial Governor Mr. Tikiri Kobbekaduwa and Member of Parliament Mrs. Rajika Wickramasinghe held at the District Secretariat.

As a special district coordination committee meeting to discuss the final report of the delimitation committee for the memorandum on the establishment of new divisional secretariat divisions, gazetting of the existing divisional secretariat divisions and appointment of a delimitation committee for establishment and revision of Grama Niladari devisions domains, this coordination committee meeting was held.

Accordingly, the proposals and recommendations regarding the demarcation activities in a manner that is convenient for the people of Kegalle district and geographically appropriate are discussed here. Since the district boundary cannot be revised, some of the main points pointed out by the Delimitation Commission, such as demarcation work for provision of services, revision of grama niladari domain boundaries, allocation of grama niladari domains, etc. were discussed under this.

Also, attention was also paid to the approval of irrigation development proposals in the district.
