The first progress review meeting of development officers attached to the National Dangerous Drugs Control Board in all the Divisional Secretariats in Kegalle District was held today (10) at the District Secretariat Auditorium.

This progress in relation to the first six months of this year was examined and the future plan was also discussed here. Kegalle district is known as a district with high progress in the whole island in terms of drug prevention and the recently celebrated International Drug Day national celebration was also held in Kegalle district.

On this occasion, Assistant District Secretary P.R.M.K. Gunaratne, Assistant Director (Research/External Services) of the National Dangerous Drugs Control Board Mr. Tamara Darshan, Kegalle District External Services Assistant Mr. S.C. Thotawatta, and Coordination Assistant Sureka Damayanthi were present on this occasion.
