A discussion was held today (15) at the district secretary's office under the chairmanship of the district secretary Mr. Ranjana Jayasinghe about how to prepare to respond to the emergency situations that may arise with the dry weather these days.

With the water level of Ma Oya decreasing, attention was focused on the option to meet the need for drinking water. Attention was also paid to directing bowser cars to the required places for water distribution.

Also, with the dry weather, there was a discussion with the relevant parties about the need to prevent forest fires that occur in the reserve. Accordingly, to inform the people living in the vicinity of the reserve, to create a mechanism for immediate awareness in the event of a fire, and in case of a fire, necessary measures to be taken to extinguish it. Matters such as taking were discussed here.
